Daniel RobertsonManaging Director
As Excel’s founder, with 18 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Daniel is responsible for overall project delivery, meeting our client’s objectives, as well as overall health and safety and environmental management. Daniel is in attendance at key meetings for resource allocation and overall progress monitoring and reporting. Daniel is a key liaison between the client, the Project Managers and Operations Director, keeping a close eye on sub-contractor co-ordination and quality management on-site. Business development and seeking new opportunities are Daniel’s passion, driving Excel into the successful industry leader our clients have come to trust as their contractor of choice.
Simon HarrisonDesign Manager & Director - Excel Waterproofing
With 20 years of both practical and commercial experience within the construction industry, Simon found his foothold within the waterproofing industry, and is a certified surveyor in structural waterproofing (CSSW). He developed his skills in company operations, commercial and health and safety while operating a medium sized waterproofing business, which joined forces with the Excel Group in 2014, becoming Excel Waterproofing.
Colin RobinsonCommercial Manager
Colin provides commercial support to the Managing Directors and operations teams within the group, responsible for contract terms and conditions negotiations with clients, providing contractual protection through risk management and mitigation and recommending appropriate mitigating actions on commercial/risk events at the earliest opportunity. Colin is responsible for monitoring and managing all project reporting to the group.
Clive BarkerCivils Director
Clive brings to Excel over 20 years of experience in the groundworks industry. Operationally Clive liaises with clients and all operatives on site to keep communication lines open and clear, making sure the works are completed within programme deadlines, to the highest of standards and with health and safety as his upmost priority. Clive is instrumental in the successful delivery of the sites whilst being supported by a team of very competent site managers.
Katie FootFinance Director
With 13 years experience in managing office operations, Katie works with department heads and senior management to get the best performance from staff. Katie ensures that the business has the best working environment and processes, evaluating how the business operates, managing the office functions including purchase ledger, sales ledger, HR, health and safety, to ultimately ensure the team as a whole consistently deliver the best service for our loyal clients.
Mike CassenSales Ledger
Mike has been with Excel since the beginning, bringing with him and sharing his wealth of experience in the accounting profession. Mike assists in all aspects of the financial processes, consulting us along the way.
As company buyer Graeme’s main responsibilities include procuring a wide variety of materials at the best cost for our projects, and liaising with our suppliers to ensure all deliveries are executed on time. Graeme’s due diligence ensures ongoing project deadlines and programmes are kept as per client requirements, liaising with Excel site supervisors, operatives and senior management to achieve this effectively.
Jo ChalkleyOffice Manager
Joanna has a wealth of office experience having worked in construction for nearly 20 years. Providing an administrative and supporting role to Directors and senior staff of operations across all businesses within the Group, Joanna ensures policies and processes are managed and delivered. Managing various office operations whilst working heavily alongside the Operations Director, to provide best working practice in areas of office management, health & safety, HR and accounts.
Debi MitchellAccounts Administrator
Debi joined Excel in 2017 as our Accounts Administrator and head of reception, bringing with her a wide variety of finance and admin experience. Debi primarily looks after purchase ledger, and credit control, ensuring all accounts queries and communication are dealt with quickly and efficiently, monitoring our spend and keeping a close eye on us.
